Blogger has the following advantages:
1.You don’t have to pay for hosting.
2.You get a free domain. eg. abcd.blogspot.com
3.You do not need a separate SSL certificate
4.In-built analytics
5.Security is handled by google. So no worries about getting the website hacked.
Do you need to consider Blogger over WordPress?
The simple answer is, if you are trying to build a business that will be for the long run, then WordPress is the best choice. Because in WordPress you are the owner of the website instead of google. You have the power to control and manage your website according to your need. No restrictions, nothing.
In blogger, there are certain restriction that adds some disadvantage to it.
1.In blogger, you have to follow Google’s guidelines. If violated then you will be thrown out.
2.There are not options to add plugins. What are plugins? These are the tools that add new features to your site. You don’t need to have technical knowledge to use these plugins. You cannot automate your blog.
3.Limitations in terms of use and customization.
Who should go for Blogger?
If the vision is to make a million-dollar business that you could be proud of, then Blogger is not the right platform. Instead, you should spend money on a good hosting and domain.
If you are just here to try your luck and don’t have enough money to buy a hosting and domain, then Blogger is the only choice you have.
Hope that was helpful!

If you want to establish a personal blog because you love writing and want to share your thoughts with others, you can use free blogging platforms such as Blogger.com or WordPress.com.
However, if you want to build a professional blog that you want to monetize, or if you want to make living writing through a professional blog, WordPress.org is the one to go with. Purchase an excellent hosting plan and then install WordPress from the Cpanel. And begin blogging.

I have tried both platforms, they have their own advantage and disadvantage.
While Blogger is almost free if you don’t purchase a domain. But WordPress is paid because you need a hosting to host your blog.
Blogger has lots of limitations but with WordPress, you can do anything with your site.
While Blogger manages everything for you, in wordpress you have to manage everything yourself.
In blogger for lots of things, you have to do manual task and coding, but in wordpress you can do that with just a plugin.
If you don’t consider budget, then my recommendation is wordpress. But if you don’t have money for hosting then you can surely try blogger.
But, always remember blogger has lots of limitations.
Blogger is like Nokia 3310 and WordPress is like Smartphone in your hand.
